Elite Athlete Recovery, Available to Everyone
Evolve Social Wellness provides compression sleeve therapy designed to enhance circulation, reduce muscle soreness, and support recovery. Using targeted pressure, these sleeves help improve blood flow and reduce fatigue. With a walk-in model, visitors can easily incorporate compression therapy into a consistent routine for improved recovery, performance, and overall wellness.
NormaTec is a form of compression that uses compressed air to massage your limbs, mobilize fluid, and speed recovery. Key features include patented Pulse technology and a dynamic air compression system, which provide precise treatment and restorative massage by mimicking natural muscle movements. NormaTec compression feels like deep pressure, a relaxing massage to your legs that initially feels like a blood pressure cuff. The sleeve inflates and relaxes in segments to mimic the natural muscle pump of the body. This form of compression device is meant for recovery and rehabilitation after intense workouts, training, conditioning, sports activity, injuries, and surgery. Some of our compression sleeves have the ability to cool down for cold compression.
Cryo-compression is similar to Normatec but utilizes circulating ice water. Cryo-compression expands upon the pulsing massage of other compression sleeves with the cold which further aids in reducing both inflammation and pain as well as shortening recovery time.
Compression sleeves cover different areas of the body and use massage techniques to encourage circulation for quicker recovery after rigorous athletic activity or injury. The goal is to mimic the natural muscle pump of the body to mobilize waste products and enhance lymphatic drainage. The Normatec system is scientifically proven and is the original, most tested dynamic compression system on the market, designed with input from top athletes and sports medicine professionals.
Pulsing: Instead of using static compression (squeezing) to transport fluid out of the limbs, Sequential Pulse Technology uses dynamic compression (pulsing). Our patented pulsing action more effectively mimics the muscle pump of the legs and arms, greatly enhancing the movement of fluid and metabolites out of the limbs after an intense workout.
2) Gradients: Veins and lymphatic vessels have one-way valves that prevent the backflow of fluid. Similarly, Sequential Pulse Technology utilizes gradient hold pressures to keep your body’s fluids from being forced down toward your feet by the pulsing action in proximal zones. Because of this enhancement, Sequential Technology can deliver maximum pressure throughout the entire limb and the effectiveness of the pulsing action is not diminished near the top of the limb.
3) Distal Release: Because extended static pressure can be detrimental to the body’s normal circulatory flow, Sequential Pulse Technology releases the hold pressures once they are no longer needed to prevent backflow. By releasing the hold pressure in each zone as soon as possible, each portion of the limb gains maximal rest time without a significant pause between compression cycles.
They are both clinically proven methods of increasing circulation, reducing soreness, and helping athletes perform at their best.
NormaTec and cryo-compression are leaders in rapid recovery. Their dynamic compression systems give a competitive edge to the world’s elite athletes, trainers, and now you. They provide great additional benefits such as:
Speeding Up Muscle Recovery, Reducing Inflammation, Relieves Muscle Pain, Decreases Muscle Fatigue, Increases Flexibility and Range of Motion.

NormaTec is a clinically proven compression therapy system that uses compressed air to massage the limbs, mobilize fluid, and accelerate recovery. The sleeve inflates and relaxes in segments using Sequential Pulse Technology — mimicking the natural muscle pump of the body to move waste products and enhance lymphatic drainage. Compression therapy helps reduce swelling, increase circulation, and can help prevent blood clots, especially during long periods of immobility. At Evolve NormaTec compression is available as a walk-in service with no appointment required as part of any membership or day pass visit.
Cryo-compression builds on standard NormaTec by adding circulating ice water to the compression cycle — combining the recovery benefits of cold therapy with the circulatory benefits of dynamic compression simultaneously. The cold element further reduces inflammation and pain while shortening recovery time beyond what compression alone can achieve. Both cryo-compression and NormaTec help reduce inflammation and sore muscles, and can be used as part of a warm up or recovery routine. Evolve offers both standard NormaTec and cryo-compression, making it one of the few walk-in wellness centers with both options available.
NormaTec’s Sequential Pulse Technology works through three mechanisms. Pulsing uses dynamic rather than static compression to more effectively mimic the natural muscle pump and move fluid out of the limbs. Gradients use hold pressures that prevent fluid from flowing backward, allowing maximum pressure delivery throughout the entire limb. Distal release removes hold pressures as soon as they are no longer needed, giving each portion of the limb maximum rest time between compression cycles.
NormaTec compression is ideal for athletes and active adults recovering from intense training, conditioning, or competition — it is the same system used by elite athletes, professional sports teams, and Olympic trainers. It is also highly effective for anyone experiencing muscle soreness, fatigue, inflammation, or circulation issues from everyday activity. People with certain health conditions, such as chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins, or those at higher risk for blood clots, can benefit from compression therapy, but should consult a healthcare provider if they have nerve damage or other medical concerns. At Evolve it is available to all members regardless of athletic background as part of the all-access walk-in model.
Regular NormaTec compression therapy speeds muscle recovery, reduces inflammation, relieves muscle pain, decreases muscle fatigue, and increases flexibility and range of motion. Cryo-compression adds cold therapy benefits including further inflammation reduction and accelerated pain relief. Both are clinically proven methods of improving circulation and helping athletes and active adults perform and recover at their best. Compression therapy can help relieve swelling and pain associated with varicose veins, enhance recovery from leg ulcers and wounds, and improve blood circulation in the lower leg.
Most compression therapy sessions at Evolve run between 15 and 30 minutes depending on your recovery needs and goals. The experience feels like a deep, relaxing pressure massage — similar to a blood pressure cuff inflating and releasing in rhythmic segments up and down the limb. Sessions can be easily incorporated into any Evolve visit alongside sauna, cold plunge, or red light therapy. Compression therapy devices include compression stockings, compression socks, compression bandages, ace wraps, compression boots, sequential compression devices, and lymphedema pumps. You will likely start seeing benefits from as little as 20 - 30 minutes within each session.
NormaTec compression sleeves at Evolve cover the legs as the primary area, with additional sleeve options available for arms and hips depending on location. Staff can help you select the right sleeve configuration based on your specific recovery needs and the areas requiring the most attention after training or activity.
NormaTec compression pairs most powerfully with cold plunge and cryo-compression as a complete inflammation and recovery protocol — cold reduces inflammation while compression mobilizes the fluid and metabolic waste that cold exposure releases. It also works well after sauna as a circulation-enhancing cooldown, and alongside red light therapy for a full cellular and lymphatic recovery sequence. Many athletes build their entire Evolve recovery routine around compression as the anchor modality.
